• How big are the pendants?      They average 25mm in diameter which is about the same as a quarter and about 2mm thick which is a little thicker than a nickel.   Each pendant does vary ever so slightly due to the fact that they are each hand made.

 

• Are there ladies and/or smaller sizes available?   Yes, we do offer a smaller size.   The smaller size is about 21mm in diameter (same size as a nickel) and is priced the same as the larger size whether crafted out of silver, gold or platinum.   Due to the smaller area to create the detail we are limited to the amount of information that we can put in each section.   Normally we can put 6 characters in both the top and bottom areas of the cross, but with the smaller version we can only fit 4 characters.   The center of each cross can fit either the scramble (helmet, axe, ladder, and pike pole) or up to 3 characters i.e.…SFD, BFD, L21, E14 etc.

 

 

• What if I want something different than what’s shown in the options or gallery?   Just send us your request via email or snail mail, or call Monday – Friday 10am to 5pm Pacific Time and we will create what you want.

 

• What if I want St. Florian on my pendant?   We can carve St. Florian into the pendant; you just need to tell us what side you want him on and what you would like on the other side.   Again, just tell us what you want.

 

 

• How long will it take to make my pendant?     Normal turn around time from when payment is received is 2-3 weeks. Every Maltese cross is custom made one at a time by hand.
  

 

• How do I know what length of chain to use?   Most men prefer the 24” chain, most women prefer the 18” chain.   It all depends on how low/high on the chest you want your pendant to rest.

 

 

• Can I get my pendant engraved?   If you choose to keep the back of the pendant blank instead of having the IAFF logo, we can engrave whatever you like.   There will be an additional charge for engraving, as it is dependant upon the amount of engraving desired.   We can quote you at the time of ordering.
